NOTICE INVITING APPLICATION FROM CONSUMER GROUPS.

The Assam Electricity Regulatory Commission (AERC), committed to power sector reforms in Assam, has created a Consumer Advocacy Cell (CAC) for assisting and empowering consumers to effectively take part in different regulatory functions of the Commission.

The Consumer Advocacy Cell invites application from interested consumer groups indicating their area and activities of operation, certificate of registration, and other details for empanelment with the cell.

Eligibility Criteria of Consumer Groups for empanelment.

1. The group must be a registered society under The Societies Registration Act, 1860, one of the objectives of which is protection of consumer interests.
2. Majority members of the group must be consumers of electricity or potential consumers.
